HEXA Renewables Commissions 99.5 MWdc Gamu and Bongabon Solar Projects in the Philippines

HEXA Renewables marks a major milestone in its Southeast Asia expansion in the Philippines with the successful commissioning of the Gamu and Bongabon Solar Power Projects in the Philippines. With a combined capacity of 99.5 MWdc, these ground-mounted solar installations are in the northern and central region of the Luzon Island and represent the company’s first operational assets in the country.

The projects are the first greenfield solar power developments completed under the Green Energy Auction Program (GEAP) of the Department of Energy (DOE) Philippines. Certificates of Endorsement – Green Energy Tariff (COE-GET) were issued in H1 2025 to both projects, affirming compliance with the country’s renewable energy policy framework.

These developments contribute directly to the national renewable energy goals of the Philippines, which target 35% in the power generation mix by 2030 and 50% by 2040. The successful delivery of the Gamu and Bongabon Solar Power Projects underscores HEXA Renewables’ long-term commitment to advancing clean, sustainable energy solutions across the region.
